Sit-Ups for Taekwondo Core Strength
A traditional sit-up is another great exercise to
build your Taekwondo core strength. This page shows you how to
do a sit-up exercise. For more powerful
Taekwondo kicks (i.e. spinning hook kicks), you need to work on
your torque or twisting power in order to have more powerful
"wind-ups". In order to improve your torque, you will need to
strengthen your core muscles (such as your
stomach, lateral obliques/side muscles and lower back). However,
remember to check with your
doctor before starting any exercise program.
