Push-Ups for Taekwondo Strength

Push-ups are a great exercise to improve your Taekwondo strength (i.e. punching power and grappling strength). This page provides exercise instructions on how to do a variety of different push-ups. Each type of push-up is good for concentrating on specific body areas (i.e. triangle or diamond push-ups put greater emphasis on your triceps) or adding greater "explosive power" (i.e. the plyometric push-up).

For additional upper & lower body strengthening exercises, please visit the Strength Training section. If you are looking for martial arts stretches, please visit our Taekwondo Stretching section.
