Taekwondo Knife Hand Strike

A knife hand strike uses the side of the hand to strike an opponent (i.e. their neck). This is the famous "Karate chop" seen in movies. While the video below covers Karate knife hand strikes, it does illustrate how you can effectively use this hand technique in Taekwondo. For other Taekwondo hand strikes, please visit our main punches & strikes page.

* Use a punching bag or practice dummy to perfect your punches & strikes.
